Below is a list of all the Santa Pod motorcycle strip records starting from1966. This is entirely unofficial and has been compiled from the entries in the Trakbytes archive for the years up to 2002, and with the kind help of Andy Marrs from 2002 to 2019. I also referred to Keith Lee's Books "Drag Bike Racing in Britain - From the mid 60s to the mid 80s" published in 2010, and "John Hobbs & The Age Of The Twins', published in 2022.
The strip record has dropped by five seconds in 43 years. Once E. J. Potter, the first of four American visitors to set the record, had set the mark in 1966 the rest of the sixties was dominated by Alf Hagon who progressively chipped away at his own records before retiring in 1968. His record then stood for another six years before John Hobbs beat it with the first of his three quickest E.T.'s. Alf currently shares his six record performances with Phil Brachtvogel, who clocked up his six consecutive entries in the comparitively short period between July 1989 and September 1990. Brian Johnson managed to reset the mark four times in his career and has the longest time span between entries, 1983 to 2001. There are a couple of question marks in there with runs I was unable to find the details for. If anyone out there can help please let me know. As with the car records you will find any rocket powered records highlighted in yellow. These all came from Eric Teboul who has also set six two-wheeled records at the track.
