Page ten begins with the build up to the 1965 Dragfest. The entry for 23rd September describes how Bob Keith, the cars original owner from California, travelled to Langthorne to check the car over for the team. Despite the rain a warm up run was carried out and Bob carried out adjustments to the barrel valves amongst other things. The next day the car was loaded up and taken through the rain to Ascot, a journey of nine hours. The team stayed at the Berystede Hotel in Ascot. The 25th was the first day of the Festival. Norman Barclay was handling the driving duties. The car was fitted with a new pair of slicks and one warm up run was completed before the rain caused the meeting to be cancelled at 3.15pm. The second day (26th) was a little more productive although the rain continued to fall. After a warm up a qualifying run in the wet was made. The team took the win in the Class 15 final against the Allard Dragster, again in wet conditions. Peter then goes on to describe the "A" Eliminator as "a fiasco". The team were only given 20 minutes to turn the car around but still took the win against the Allard Dragon. They then faced the Allard Chrysler again. Allards push car broke down leaving the Dos Palmos car standing on the line getting hotter and hotter. When the time came to run the motor suffered a lack of revs, Norman left the line but the motor cut out after about 50 yards.
