Page fifteen has a cutting from the Daily Express newspaper. The date is not known. It reads as follows; Got you...as Bill parachutes out for a ton-up stop "Hullo, hullo, what's going on here?" says the classic expression of a policeman who thinks he has caught a naughty motorist red-handed. The scene: Outside Londons Piccadilly Underpass after driver Bill Weichelt had just roared through it at 100 miles an hour with no brakes. Except a parachute. His dragster, Dos Palmos, had taken part in an 8 a.m. promotional film for Lamborghini, and police closed the underpass for the "ton-up" car. But driver Weichelt, who did not manage to stop quick enough, nearly found himself riding side by side with a London bus and motorists heading for Piccadilly Circus... Police supervising the stunt told their unsuspecting motor-cycle colleague not to "throw the book" at driver Bill. For the motoring connoisseur, the ex-American Dos Palmos is described as a "conventional sling shot 7-litre Chevrolet engine, super charged with gas/fuel injection and 12in. slicks (tyres).
